We’re looking for a world-class engineer to own the backend foundation of our data and AI platform. This is a founding role for someone who thrives at the intersection of large-scale systems, high velocity data, and advanced AI workflows. You will architect and scale the core infrastructure that powers everything from massive web data acquisition to real-time AI-driven insights. You will be defining architecture, solving hard technical problems, and pushing the limits of what’s possible in large-scale data processing and AI orchestration.

What You’ll Own
● Core Data Infrastructure: Architect the pipelines that transform billions of data points from raw collection into structured, queryable intelligence.
● AI-Orchestrated Processing: Design fault-tolerant, low-latency pipelines that route data through advanced AI/ML models with rigorous accuracy and traceability.
● API & Service Architecture: Build high-performance APIs and services that deliver AI-enriched data to downstream applications and analytics layers.
● Scalable Systems: Lead the design of distributed, elastic infrastructure that can handle extreme data velocity and unpredictable growth without breaking.
● Reliability Engineering: Implement bulletproof monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to guarantee performance under pressure.
● Technical Vision: Set backend engineering standards, guide architectural decisions, and ensure we’re two steps ahead of technical debt.

What You’ve Mastered
● Expert-level backend engineering in TypeScript/Node.js (or equivalent), with a track record of building production-grade distributed systems.
● Deep experience with high-scale web data ingestion, crawling and extracting structured intelligence at massive volume.
● Advanced data pipeline design (ETL/ELT) with orchestration frameworks like Airflow, Temporal, or equivalent.
● Strong NoSQL design and performance tuning, especially with MongoDB or similar systems.
● High-performance API design (REST/GraphQL) optimized for speed, scalability, and developer usability.
● Event-driven and asynchronous architectures (queues, streams, WebSockets) built for scale.
● Systems thinking, balancing elegance, performance, and maintainability under real-world constraints.
